Top Trump aide to join Ramaswamy New Hampshire team

A top aide to former President Donald Trump has left him to join the Vivek Ramaswamy campaign in New Hampshire following Trump's indictment in Manhattan, the Daily Mail reported Thursday.

Fred Doucette, former New Hampshire state chair for both Trump's 2016 and 2020 campaigns, will join the Ramaswamy team a week before the candidate takes a 10-county tour of the state.

"Fred gets things done," Ramaswamy said in a statement on the hire. "He has a proven track record of leadership, delivering results and winning."

Ramaswamy's spokesperson also said that Josh Whitehouse, who endorsed Trump in 2016 and served in the administration, will be Ramaswamy's state director in New Hampshire.

"We're taking America First to the next level, with the key players in New Hampshire who got it done in 2016," Ramaswamy said in a statement.

Out of nine former Trump officials who spoke to CNN last month, only three said they plan to support Trump in 2024.
