Top Trump advisor confirms Mike Rogers not under consideration to lead FBI
A top advisor to President-elect Donald Trump has confirmed that former Representative Mike Rogers is not being considered as Trump's pick to lead the FBI.
Longtime Trump insider Dan Scavino took to X to say, "Just spoke to President Trump regarding Mike Rogers going to the FBI. It’s not happening — In his own words, “I have never even given it a thought.” Not happening."
This announcement was made after rumors of Rogers' potential appointment began to spread, something which ignited outrage from Trump supporters.
Apparently, the movement to have Rogers appointed to lead the FBI under Trump was being pushed by anti-Trump forces. Trump has apparently never considered Rogers for the role, and rumors suggest that Trump may nominate Kash Patel as his man to clean out the FBI.
Steve Bannon, a close ally and former advisor of Trump's, commented on the situation, saying, "whoever is pushing Mike Rogers should be removed from Trump’s orbit immediately."
Trump must appoint the right person to purge leftists from the FBI and ensure that the lawfare and political targeting that he experienced in recent years can never happen again.
