Celebrity chef Tobias Dorzon shot during robbery attempt
Most people are lucky to have one successful career, but Tobias Dorzon is one of those special people who can do it all.
After his time as a star football player, which included stints in the National Football League and the Canadian Football League, Dorzon turned one of his other passions into a career and became a chef.
It was not long before his skills landed him on the Food Network, appearing on Guy's Grocery Games and Tournament of Champions.
Unfortunately for Dorzon, his life has not been without its challenges.
In June 2004, his sister was brutally murdered and found in the trunk of a car.
"I had never seen my dad cry. Ever. That was the first time. That was the worst thing that ever could have happened to my family," Dorzon said in 2012.
Perhaps Dorzon had that tragedy in mind when he recently survived a violent attack in Maryland.
Dorzon was heading home from dinner on Nov. 5 when he was shot in an attempted robbery.
Fox 5 in D.C. reported that "law enforcement released vague descriptions for four out of the five suspects, who drove a white SUV with an unknown plate number: each male was carrying a gun, from semi-automatic handguns to a short barrel rifle, and wearing black jackets."
Please pray that Tobias Dorzon is able to make a full recovery and that those responsible for this horrific crime are held accountable.
