Tim Walz rally abruptly postponed due to wildfire
The Democratic Party hopeful for the VP position was forced to postpone a scheduled rally because of the brutal Davis Fire raging in Washoe Valley, Nevada.
Tim Walz had hoped to hold his rally in Reno and planned to be there the night before Kamala Harris' debate against Donald Trump on Sept. 10.
Unfortunately for fans of Walz, plans changed as the fire had burned 6,500 acres near Reno as of Sept. 8.
"As crews continue working around the clock to mitigate the Davis Fire in Northern Nevada, the Harris-Walz campaign is postponing Governor Tim Walz's scheduled rally in Reno on Monday, September 9th," Kamala Harris and Tim Walz's campaign announced.
"We will continue to work with federal, state, and local partners to monitor the situation and urge impacted communities to follow evacuation and safety guidance from local authorities," the campaign added.
A state of emergency has already been declared by Nevada Gov. Joe Lombardo.
Evacuation orders were even put in place for some parts of south Reno.
Please pray for our fellow Americans who are being impacted by any natural disasters.
