Tim Burchett says Pentagon is covering up aliens' existence

GOP Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN) said on Newsmax on Tuesday that the Pentagon is covering up the existence of aliens in order to keep knowledge about their technology out of the public eye.

Burchett proposed as part of the Department of Defense annual budget that the Defense Department be required to disclose information "'relating to publicly known sightings' of UFOs as long as they 'do not reveal sources, methods or otherwise compromise the national security of the United States.'"

"It's power, its deception, it's corruption, it's all those things in Washington," he said.

Having alien technology as a power source could "put the Pentagon out of business," he added.

Burchett said he is "100%" sure the government is not telling the public everything they know about alien life.

He claimed that the huge sums of money missing from the Pentagon's budget were spent on alien research and projects related to aliens and their technology.
