TikTok Using Different Content Algorithms In Different Countries

 January 13, 2023

If you haven't heard of TikTok, then good for you. At least that means you aren't on the platform.

But it also means you're oblivious to what could soon become the biggest national security threat to America.

You see, TikTok is so intertwined with the Chinese government that it's really hard to tell exactly where the communist government ends and the app's parent company, ByteDance, begins.

ByteDance has already admitted wrongdoing in that it allowed access to multiple private American accounts, and that's just what they're willing to admit.

TikTok's newest trick is intentionally trying to make Americans dumber. It shows Chinese youth positive posts about math and science. In America, our youth are exposed to violence, pornography, and conceit.

Sen. Mark Warner, a Democrat from Virginia, thinks it's time to take action against the Chinese propaganda. He said:

No matter what TikTok says about having an iron wall between the two, we’ve seen a number of reports that that data is still being accessed by Chinese engineers. But what almost concerns me more is the fact is TikTok really is a communications medium, not unlike your network or some of the other networks. And the difference between what Chinese kids see on TikTok, which emphasizes science and engineering, making them better, versus what our kids see, and I’m concerned, at some point, the folks who are driving the algorithms are going to say, we’re going to only show videos that may be derogatory towards the United States.
