Taylor Swift 'furious' over graphic AI photos online, may take legal action

Taylor Swift is reportedly furious over AI-generated graphic images of her that have popped up on porn sites around the web in recent days, to the point where she is considering legal action against those responsible.

“Whether or not legal action will be taken is being decided, but there is one thing that is clear: These fake, AI-generated images are abusive, offensive, exploitative and done without Taylor’s consent and/or knowledge,” a source close to the singer told the Daily Mail Thursday.

The source also said it was "shocking" that X, formerly known as Twitter, allowed the images to be posted there and noted that the account that posted the photos no longer exists.

Swift has not commented on the photos publicly.

Her fans are loudly taking up her defense, however.

Many, including the Daily Mail source, called for laws to be passed to punish the creators of the deepfakes.
