Suspect In Audrii Cunningham's Death Charged With Capital Murder

 February 22, 2024

Eleven-year-old Audrii Cunningham’s body was found tied to a rock in a river.

Don Steven McDougal, a close family friend of the girl's father has now been charged with capital murder.

It is said that McDougal lived in a trailer on the Cunninghams' land.

The evidence against McDougal at this point is damning.

In a complaint filed, the rope that tied the child’s body to the rock was “consistent with rope that was observed in McDougal’s vehicle on a traffic stop two days prior.”

The complaint also noted that “cell phone data places McDougal at three locations of interest.”

McDougal has maintained his innocence despite already having been put behind bars for a possible connection to another assault case unrelated to Cunningham’s brutal murder.

“I have done everything I can to help find her. I have done nothing wrong.” McDougal said.

What do you think should happen to McDougal if he is found guilty of this crime?
