Supreme Court VICTORY Stuns, Abortions On The Decline

April 15, 2023

It's been more than six months since the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, and legal abortions in the United States have dropped more than 6% in that time.

The drop in America's abortion rate is a testament to the new rules and regulations that have been put into place in various jurisdictions.

When the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, control returned to the states to set regulations for abortions, and the decisions that have been made on a state level caused a significant drop in abortions nationwide.

"A new report released by the Society of Family Planning, called the '#WeCount' report, determined that there were 32,260 fewer abortions from July to December 2022 when compared to data taken in April and May," reports the Washington Examiner. "In the months post-Dobbs v. Jackson's Women's Health Organization decision, which overturned Roe v. Wade in June, there were an average of 5,377 fewer abortions per month."

"Florida saw 1,200 more abortions in the months post-Dobbs because state law currently permits abortions up to 15 weeks," reports the Examiner. "The Sunshine State is inching closer to a six-week ban after the state Senate passed the legislation , sending it to the House, where it is also expected to pass, and eventually Gov. Ron DeSantis's (R-FL) desk, where he is likely to sign it."

Abortions also declined significantly in states such as Arizona and Ohio, where the courts overturned proposed bans.
