Supreme Court allows emergency exceptions to Idaho's abortion ban

 June 28, 2024

If the first presidential debate was any indication, abortion is one of the issues on which Democrats think they're going to be able to beat Republicans this November.

Sure, Joe Biden wasn't able to articulate why his positions on abortion were any better than Donald Trump's, but that could be mostly because Joe the president wasn't really able to articulate ANYTHING on the debate stage.

If you ask liberals in general, abortion is still an issue about which they feel very confident.

As a result, expect it to be rammed down our throats in the coming months.

The U.S. Supreme Court ruled on June 27 that doctors in Idaho MUST (at least for now) be allowed to perform emergency abortions despite the state's near-total ban.

The Supreme Court decided that Idaho must offer emergency abortions in order to comply "with the federal law that requires emergency rooms to give 'stabilizing treatments' to patients in critical condition."
