Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito says Dobbs leak made conservative justices the target of assassination

April 30, 2023

Justice Samuel Alito sat down for an interview with the Wall Street Journal on Saturday and stated that last year's leak of the Dobbs decision put a massive target on the backs of conservative Supreme Court justices.

When news broke that the Supreme Court planned to overturn Roe v. Wade last year, the nation was embroiled in outrage, and the Supreme Court was undoubtedly in danger.

Alito pointed out that the leak had made those justices sitting on the Supreme Court "targets of assassination." This was not an idle statement as a radical leftist named Nicholas Roske attempted to assassinate Justice Brett Kavanaugh and was arrested after the decision was leaked.

Alito also stated that, "It was rational for people to believe that they might be able to stop the decision in Dobbs by killing one of us."

Roske's assassination attempt was enabled in part by the massive illegal protests that occurred outside of the homes of Supreme Court justices. Federal law prohibits protests outside of federal judges' homes under 18 U.S.C. § 1507.

So far, the Biden administration has made no arrests in response to those protests and seemed happy to leave Supreme Court justices in danger.
