Supreme Court denies RFK Jr.'s appeal for spot on NY ballot

 September 28, 2024

On Friday the U.S. Supreme Court denied a request from the campaign committee for RFK Jr., to put the independent on the ballot in New York for the 2024 presidential election.

Kennedy suspended his campaign in August and endorsed Donald Trump. It's been a point of contention ever since about whether or not he should remain on the ballot in various states.

In some states, Kennedy wants off the ballot. In other states, like New York, it appears really important to him to be included.

Kennedy first announced his intent to run for president in 2023 as a Democrat.

When it became clear that the party elites were not going to abandon Joe Biden or Kamala Harris to support him, Kennedy tried to run as an Independent.

Neither option provided Kennedy a whole lot of traction, and he couldn't get on the stage for any debates.

As a result, he dropped out of the race and endorsed Trump.

Hopefully, Kennedy's help is just what Trump needs to give him the upper hand this November.
