Supreme Court rejects Biden administration appeal in Texas abortion case

The U.S. Supreme Court has reached its decision:

"A court order that says hospitals cannot federally be required to provide pregnancy terminations when they violate a Texas abortion ban will stay for now," according to the Associated Press.

The decision is a brutal blow to abortion fans in Texas.

For years now, liberals have been attacking Texas' abortion ban, trying to use it as a national talking point about why conservatives in this country can't be trusted.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton called the decision a "major victory."

Joe Biden and his administration were arguing "that a federal law, called the Emergency Medical Treatment and Labor Act, or EMTALA, requires emergency rooms to provide abortions if a pregnant patient’s health or life is at serious risk, even in states where the procedure is banned. The law only applies to emergency rooms that receive Medicare funding, which most hospitals do."

The decision comes just a few weeks before the 2024 presidential election, and it could end up having a huge impact on voting this November.
