Sunny Hostin forced to read legal clarification on air after criticizing Matt Gaetz

 November 21, 2024

ABC's The View is normally more concerned with spreading liberal propaganda than actually trying to pursue the truth, but a recent statement made by co-host Sunny Hostin on the show was so outrageous that the showrunners couldn't let it go without compelling her to read a clarifying note while on air.

Hostin recently attacked former Rep. Matt Gaetz after he was nominated by Donald Trump to lead America's Justice Department.

"How could you nominate someone with allegations of child trafficking or trafficking across state lines and having sex with a 17-year-old?" Hostin demanded. "My understanding, further on in the interview, they discuss the fact that once he finds out that she’s 17, he stops having sex with her."

The only problem with Hostin's statement is that the DOJ investigated Gaetz and brought no charges against him.

Even the liberals over at The View knew they couldn't let Hostin's slander stand, so they made her read a legal note to the audience.

"Matt Gaetz has long denied all allegations," Hostin read, "calling the claims 'invented' and saying in a statement to ABC News that, 'This false smear following a three-year criminal investigation should be viewed with great skepticism.'"

It was satisfying to watch. See for yourself:
