Steve Forbes assaulted at conservative book launch party in New York City

Media mogul Steve Forbes was assaulted by leftist protestors Wednesday night during a launch party for conservative authors Bethany Mandel and Karol Markowicz in New York City.

Forbes told Fox News, "I was talking to co-author Bethany Mandel near the counter where the books were on display. Suddenly a woman seemingly out of nowhere was angrily yelling almost incoherently about matters that weren't related to the subject of the book."

The protestors knocked over a book display while loudly yelling and one tossed a drink over Forbes and Mandel.

Markowicz stated, "Suddenly I heard screaming, had books thrown at me, and I was soaking wet. I realized young women with short, dyed blue hair were screaming at us ‘Black lives matter, trans lives matter!’ I tried to talk to them, but they ran off."

The hair color is no surprise considering the behavior of the protestors. Another group of women harassed guests as they left yelling that the attendees were fascists and shouting homophobic slurs.

Whether those individuals will face charges or not remains to be seen, but Americans shouldn't hold their breath. Leftist protestors are often allowed to act with impunity and assaulting someone like Steve Forbes is unlikely to garner much attention from sympathetic prosecutors.
