Sports commentator Stephen A. Smith says he regrets voting for Harris

Understandably, many on the left are having serious regrets after the election, with some even regretting pledging allegiance to the Democratic Party to begin with.

According to Breitbart, sports commentator Stephen A. Smith recently voiced his frustrations with the Democratic Party and is now reportedly sorry that he ever placed a vote for Vice President Kamala Harris.

Smith said he had never voted for a Republican but now says he's open-minded enough to consider voting that way in the future or at least allowing Republicans to "earn" his vote.

The famous media figure made the shocking admission during a Fox News interview with host Mark Levin.

"I voted Democrat, and I got to tell you something right now: I don’t like the fact that I did. I don’t like what I’m seeing," Smith told Levin, echoing frustrations from other voters who went all in for Harris.

Smith seemed to be particularly frustrated with President Joe Biden, as well. He mentioned the president's recent grants of clemency, recalling that Biden and Harris and others in the party once stood on the "nobody is above the law" premise, but ended up acting otherwise.

"I don’t want to hear about, ‘Oh, we’re about the law. Nobody’s above the law. Nobody’s above the law.’ But then you go out, and you pardon your son, and you try to blame everybody else for it," Smith said, referring to Hunter Biden's pardon.

Smith also made the reasonable argument that he's tired of the left "fear-mongering" for votes, as it did throughout the entire election cycle, suggesting liberal should instead should focus on selling the American people on how they can improve lives.

"Why don’t you come up with a plan that tells us why we should vote for you?" Smith said.

He added, "We’re not about America only, but being about America and prioritizing what’s going on in this nation with the desolate and the disenfranchised and everybody else in between and looking out for the best interests of what it is for America… that is not a crime for an American politician or commander in chief or senator or congressional figure to have that mentality."

Smith said he would even consider voting, hypothetically, for someone like Trump.

"It can’t be just about fealty to him and loyalty to him. It has to be about getting the job done on behalf of what’s in the best interests of the American people as opposed to yourself, and not engaging in the kind of juvenile tendencies, tweeting all the time, and going after people who are really…irrelevant in the grand scheme of things," Smith said.

Smith at least had the courage to make the admission. We'll see if more lifelong Democrats follow.
