Speculation on final Supreme Court cases spiking: 'Little question' the court will keep right

Legal experts on both sides of the political aisle are speculating about whether the last of this session's Supreme Court rulings will be as bad as many liberals are fearing, or just the usual amount of conservative leaning.

Of course, this is coming from CNN, so take it with a grain of salt.

“There is little question that this court will ignore its past precedent and undermine protections for the LGBTQ community, racial minorities and voters,” Los Angeles-based Loyola Law School professor Jessica Levinson said. “The question is whether the court takes a knife or an assault rifle to those protections.”

CNN sees the court's "hard turn to the right" as evidence that it has turned political, but maybe it has just returned to traditionalist Constitutional roots that the liberal justices had abandoned, to their detriment and the country's.

The court will settle the question of whether businesses can be forced to violate their deeply held religious beliefs by making products to benefit and support a gay wedding. It will also rule on whether colleges ought to base admissions on race for diversity purposes.

That and another half dozen cases will surely be decided in accordance with the law and the Constitution, but try to tell that to a liberal who isn't getting what they want, despite what the law says. It's not going to be pretty.
