Special prosecutor for Biden document scandal may make it harder to get information

Republicans were gratified that special counsel Robert Hur was appointed to investigate the discovery of classified documents in President Joe Biden's former office and Wilmington home, but it may actually make it harder to get any information about what occurred.

Byron York in his daily memo pointed out that many questions still remain about the Biden documents.

Why were lawyers packing up Biden's office? Why did it take them two months to report finding the first documents, and to actually search for and find the second batch?

How did the documents end up in Biden's office and house? And when Hunter Biden was living there, getting high on crack, did he bring any foreign business associates around the documents?

None of these questions are going to get answered any time soon, though, because the appointment of the special counsel has given Biden an excuse to clam up.

Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre would only say on Friday, "I would refer you to the Department of Justice." And the DOJ is certainly not going to say anything.
