South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem confirms Joe Biden cancelled Mount Rushmore fireworks show for 3rd year in a row

 January 15, 2023

South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem (R) confirmed that the Biden administration had denied South Dakota's request to hold a July 4th fireworks show at Mt. Rushmore for the 3rd time in a row.

Noem tweeted on Thursday saying, "The best way to celebrate America’s Birthday is with fireworks at Mount Rushmore. Today, the Biden Administration rejected them. Again."

The Biden administration has been blocking the fireworks show since 2021 citing concerns around coronavirus, environmental concerns, wildfire risks, and ongoing construction.

As Mt. Rushmore is a federal monument, Noem and the state of South Dakota have no power to overrule the Biden administration.

The Biden administration has stubbornly refused to allow the fireworks show and it's safe to say Joe Biden seems to hate displays of patriotism.

Unfortunately, it seems that there will be no fireworks show above Mt. Rushmore until a more patriotic administration is in charge.
