Small contingent of Republicans votes against Mayorkas impeachment

 February 7, 2024

President Joe Biden’s three favorite Republicans just showed their true colors.

It isn’t a wonder why he loves them!

Representatives Ken Buck, Tom McClintock, and Mike Gallagher all voted AGAINST the impeachment of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.

Buck wrote in The Hill, saying that “maladministration or incompetence does not rise to what our founders considered an impeachable offense.”

Are you kidding me?

While Gallagher condemned Mayorkas’ actions as Homeland Security Secretary, saying that he had “faithfully implemented President Biden’s open border policies and helped create the dangerous crisis at the southern border,” Gallagher still opposed.

Why?

Gallagher voiced concerns of setting “a new, lower standard for impeachment.”

Excuses, excuses.

If they were taking our nation’s SECURITY seriously, they would have voted to advance to process of getting Mayorkas OUT of his position.

Now is not the time to take a stand on impeachment, it’s a time to take a stand on what’s been going on at the border!
