Some GOP Senators skeptical of Trump Cabinet picks
As Republicans prepare to take over the Senate majority, uncertainty remains about some of President-elect Donald Trump's Cabinet picks and whether they will manage to be confirmed by the Senate.
Trump has asked to have his Cabinet confirmed immediately upon the transition on Jan. 3, but some Republicans seem to be holding back from affirming their support for such a move.
So far, Matt Gaetz has removed himself from consideration after allegations of sexual misconduct, but he's far from the only controversial Cabinet nominee.
Skepticism has also extended to Pete Hesgeth for secretary of Defense and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for secretary of Health and Human Services, among others.
Hearings don't start until mid-January, so it seems like Trump will just have to wait and see how it goes.
No Republican has come out directly against the nominees, so Trump has reason to hope they can get through the process after all.
