Serena Williams undergoes cyst removal procedure

 October 17, 2024

Tennis star Serena Williams says she had a cyst removed from her neck and "all is OK."

For those interested in sports, you probably know Serena Williams because of 23 Grand Slam women's singles titles. When it comes to the greatest female tennis player ever, people know it's Williams.

The only question is whether it's Serena or her older sister Venus.

For those interested in politics, you've probably heard of Serena Williams as well.

The left made a HUGE deal defending Serena Williams when male commentator John McEnroe said that Serena Williams wasn't the greatest player of all time.

McEnroe, who was once simultaneously ranked #1 in the world in both singles and doubles tennis, would not back down.

The left wanted McEnroe to say that Serena Williams was the best tennis player ever because she's been successful playing against other women.

John McEnroe refused to concede the point, pointing out that both Serena AND her sister had lost to Karsten Braasch in 1998. Braasch was the #203 male player in the world at the time, and smoked the Williams sisters back-to-back after they said they could beat any male player outside of the top 200.

Braasch, who was noted to be more skilled at smoking and drinking than he was at tennis, quickly defeated Serena Williams before immediately pummeling her sister as well.

Serena Williams might not have been able to defeat the 203rd ranked male in the country, but we sure are glad she was able to beat this scare with cancer.

The retired legend indicates that she is okay and recovering nicely.

Please keep Serena's recovery in your prayers.
