Senate unanimously passes bill enhancing Secret Service protection

 September 25, 2024

Donald Trump has been under some heavy fire lately, quite literally.

First, there was the assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania.

Then there were the murder threats made to Mar-a-Lago by a man from Idaho.

Then, Ryan Routh staked out the former president on a Florida golf course in an apparent assassination attempt.

It simply isn't reasonable to make our presidential and vice-presidential candidates live their lives like this, so the Senate has made a UNANIMOUS decision to enhance Secret Service protection for them.

Sen. Rick Scott, a Republican from Florida, spoke about the bill:

Over the course of just 65 days, two deranged individuals have tried to kill President Donald Trump, and one was able to shoot him in the head. It is unthinkable that this could happen in America today, and it demands the immediate action of Congress. Today, I am proud to have the full support of the Senate to pass the Enhanced Presidential Security Act.

I'm sure Donald Trump appreciates it.
