Senate Democrats launch attacks on Supreme Court Justices ahead of GOP takeover in January
Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee have launched another attack on conservative Supreme Court justices over political allegations of ethics violations.
The liberal lawmakers have been trying to tear down the legitimacy of the Supreme Court because of the conservative majority that has been tearing apart the progressive Democrat agenda.
Members of the panel's majority have targeted Justice Clarence Thomas over his receipt of various gifts and trips from his billionaire with whom he has enjoyed a friendship for many years. The Supreme Court handles ethics issues internally, and Thomas was found to have done nothing wrong by Chief Justice John Roberts.
However, this hasn't stopped Democrats in the Senate from imposing themselves on the Supreme Court, despite the two bodies coming from separate branches of government.
A report from Senate Democrats claims, "Any claim that the Court can adequately police itself is belied by the fact that the Court has not taken meaningful action to address ethical misconduct and no justice has faced consequences for unethical behavior—despite dozens of credible allegations of misconduct by multiple justices over decades."
Of course, these claims are entirely subjective, as Democrats have no objective standard of "meaningful action" to address so-called "ethical misconduct." This entire effort has nothing to do with ethics and everything to do with dismantling the conservative majority.
