Secret Service boss blames 'sloped roof' for neglecting Trump gunman's spot

With each passing day after Donald Trump was shot in the ear by an age 20 gunman in Pennsylvania, one thing becomes increasingly clear.

America's 45th president is lucky to be alive right now.

If Trump hadn't turned his head to an angle just moments before bullets started flying, he probably wouldn't have survived the gunshot wound.

With how incompetent the Secret Service setup at the event has been shown to be, it's lucky that Trump is still breathing right now.

Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle, a diversity hire, did NOT have her agency prepared to protect Trump.

Despite the shooter's location sitting only about 150 yards away from America's former president, Cheatle left that vantage point completely unguarded.

Why?

She says that the roof was "sloped" so it would be too dangerous to have snipers up there. Cheatle explained:

That building in particular has a sloped roof at its highest point. And so, you know, there’s a safety factor that would be considered there that we wouldn’t want to put somebody up on a sloped roof.

Cheatle neglected to address the fact that the roof on which the snipers were positioned was also sloped.
