Second source in Hunter Biden investigation shut down, former FBI agent claims

 September 19, 2023

Investigations into just how far the FBI went to protect the Biden family have ramped up, and new bombshell testimony proves that Hunter Biden had protection in high places regarding his alleged crimes.

According to Just The News, a transcribed interview from retired FBI Special Agent Timothy Thibault, a top supervisor in the agency's Washington field office, revealed that just prior to Joe Biden's 2020 presidential election, second "politically connected" source in the Hunter Biden investigation was effectively shut down.

The move, Thibault said, took him by surprise. The lead agent in the Hunter Biden case requested that the Confidential Human Source (CHS) providing relevant information regarding the case be shut down.

"It shocked me a bit because I'm, like, the purpose of – a confidential informant is to support a case," Thibault said, according to the transcribed interview.

Just The News noted:

Thibault did not further identify the source in his testimony, but best-selling author Peter Schweizer told Just the News Sunday that he believes he is the person described in the transcript based on past comments from Thibault and after The New York Times recently suggested the FBI had received information in the Hunter Biden case from a “right-wing author.”

The bombshell information came as House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) continues to investigate David Weiss, now a special counsel in the Hunter Biden case, and his suspicion that Weiss and those assigned to the Hunter Biden case at the time did not follow normal procedures.

Notably, Thibault had retired from the agency after he made several anti-Trump posts on various social media accounts.

But as Just The News noted, his bombshell revelation could further expand existing investigations into how the Hunter Biden case was handled, and just how far the powers that be went to protect Joe Biden's son, and probably Joe Biden's election chances.

The outlet added:

Thibault's 25-year service record shows his professional work to be non-partisan, and has "reeled in big names while investigating public corruption, sending two Democratic congressmen to prison and overseeing sensitive inquiries into the Clinton Foundation and the former governor of Virginia, Terry McAuliffe, another Democrat" according to The New York Times.

His testimony can now be used in the broader impeachment inquiry against President Joe Biden, according to reports.

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) announced last week that an impeachment inquiry against the sitting president will proceed.

It will take a full House vote and 218 votes in support of impeachment to move the process to the Senate for an impeachment trial.
