Rumors that Trump reached out to RFK Jr. about being vice president denied by campaign advisor

 January 29, 2024

Senior Trump campaign adviser Chris LaCivita vehemently denied rumors that former President Donald Trump had reached out to Robert F. Kennedy Jr. about serving as his vice president.

LaCivita stated in a post on X, "This is 100% FAKE NEWS – NO ONE from the Trump Campaign ever approached RFK jr (or ever will) – one of the most LIBERAL and radical environmentalists in the country. For all the fake news- update your stories."

While RFK Jr. is a centrist on some issues, he still holds certain positions that make the idea of him being Trump's vice president unlikely.

However, his surprising stances and the ire that he has attracted from the radical left is exactly what has fueled speculation that he might be a great vice president. No doubt, he would be a better selection than someone like Nikki Haley.

Still, it is also possible that LaCivita's denial may not be trustworthy. The New York Post reportedly got its information from multiple sources who allegedly are close to Trump himself.

For now, it is safe to assume that RFK Jr. will not be Trump's running mate. But at the same time, this election cycle has shown us that anything is possible.
