Romney admits his endorsement would be 'kiss of death' for GOP candidate

Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) seems to understand that a lot of Republicans think he's a RINO, and they don't agree with his stances, especially regarding former President Donald Trump.

Romney said on NBC's Meet the Press about making a presidential endorsement, “If I endorsed them, it would be the kiss of death -- I’m not going to do that,” and he acknowledged that it might be more effective to endorse a candidate he didn't like.

Of course, Romney will not be supporting Trump, but he did call Chris Christie "terrific" for his attacks on Trump.

He said that he thinks Nikki Haley has the only chance of getting the nomination away from Trump but didn't endorse her or predict that she would actually be nominated.

Romney isn't running for re-election to the Senate -- he only got elected last time because he begged for Trump's endorsement.

After Trump did endorse Romney, he stabbed the then-president in the back by constantly criticizing him and voted with Democrats to impeach him twice (both times failed).

This is why most Republicans can't stand him.
