RFK Jr. scandal a non-factor to voters
RFK Jr. has been in the headlines after it was revealed that he had been engaged in a sexting relationship with New York magazine political scribe Olivia Nuzzi.
Democrats were giddy about the opportunity to use the scandal to level charges against former President Donald Trump, as RFK Jr. is now closely tied to his campaign. However, it appears that voters don't seem to care about RFK Jr.'s bad behavior, and attempts to link it to Trump will fail.
Voters are more concerned with pressing issues like the economy and the immigration crisis. Furthermore, RFK Jr's. supporters are more concerned with his agenda which proposes new ideas to reform the FDA and tackle America's food health crisis.
Democrats want to talk about personal scandals and bad behavior in an election that should be concentrated on major issues affecting every American.
RFK Jr.'s sexting scandal would have been career-ending a decade ago, but nearly every political faction has had dirty laundry aired, and in less stable times, voters care more about policy than personal issues.
This is still a big loss for Democrats who excel in slinging mud at their political opponents. Trump knows this well thanks to the many attacks on his character.
