Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the son of Robert F. Kennedy and nephew of assassinated President John F. Kennedy, said Friday to a crowd in New Hampshire that he was considering a 2024 primary challenge to President Joe Biden.

"I am thinking about it, yes," Kennedy said to the crowd about a possible run. "I have passed the biggest hurdle, that my wife has green-lighted it."

His wife, actress Cheryl Hines, attended the speech at the New Hampshire Institute of Politics, which is a common stop for potential candidates.

New Hampshire is one of the first primary election states, so most candidates visit there multiple times before primaries start (and often, before they even decide to run).

Kennedy Jr. is an environmental lawyer but has been critical of vaccines for COVID-19.

During the speech, he criticized the Democratic National Committee for saying it was going to move New Hampshire from the first primary election state to the third.
