Flashback: Melania Trump says relationship with Donald not about money

An ABC News interview from 1999 given by Melania Trump has resurfaced, showing her strong pushback against the idea that she was at the time dating Donald Trump for his money.

The couple met in 1998 and have been together ever since -- 26 years and counting, but that doesn't stop speculation that there is trouble in paradise.

"People who talk like this, they do not know me," she said at the time when host Don Dahler asked if the allegations against her were hurtful.

"You know what, you can't sleep or to hug or to talk to beautiful things . . . . you could feel very empty," she said in defense of herself.

The real question that should be asked right now is, why did the interview resurface now? Who thought it would be a great idea to bring up something 25 years in the past.

And when will the media stop attacking Trump, even stooping so low as to attack his family?
