Republican lawmakers demanded answers on Monday about a plan by President Joe Biden to give a Cuban delegation tours of Coast Guard facilities where they could access sensitive information important to U.S. national security.

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) revealed the plan, outraged that Biden would allow a communist state sponsor of terrorism that kind of access.

Rubio called the plan by Department of Homeland Security, under Alejandro Mayorkas, and Department of State, under Antony Blinken to allow the visit to a North Carolina facility “unconscionable” and “reprehensible” in a letter to Biden on Friday.

“Extending an invitation to Cuban intelligence operatives into sensitive national security facilities in order to share with them our nation’s coastal and maritime security protocols is an egregious dereliction of duty that betrays one of the most fundamental tenets of the oath you have sworn, to protect America from foreign enemies," part of the letter read.

The visits were scheduled to take place this week as the Cuban-American community remembers the murders of four Americans 27 years ago by the Castro regime in international waters.

No one has ever been punished for the killings.
