Over the weekend, 27 Republican state attorneys general demanded that President Joe Biden end his catch-and-release border policy immediately, citing fears of terrorism.
The state AGs filed a Petition for Rulemaking to DHS that read in part, “DHS’s mass release policies have been ‘akin to posting a flashing ‘Come In, We’re Open’ sign on the southern border.'”
“Given the massive flood of unvetted migrants into the interior of our country, there is no way to know who is in the U.S. or if they plan to enact terror on Americans,” Florida AG Ashley Moody said in a statement.
According to the House Judiciary Committee, Biden does not have a plan to deport the massive number of illegal immigrants being let into the country even though the vast majority of them will not qualify for asylum under current rules.
More people have been taken into the U.S. illegally after crossing the border than the entire number of annual U.S. births -- over 4 million since Biden took office, the House Judiciary reported, and even that number may be low.
Even the 4 million number is higher than the population of all but one U.S. city -- which also happens to be the city whose mayor is now complaining about a small number of those migrants being sent there -- New York.
