The Cable News Network is reporting that New York Representative George Santos, a Republican, has officially been indicted.
Sure, Santos is a Republican, but that definitely does NOT mean that he's trustworthy. It would appear that Santos has built his career on nothing but lies.
Here's just a few of them:
- Santos is accused of fraudulently collecting almost $25,000 in unemployment benefits in 2020.
- He allegedly lied to Congress in May of 2020 and September of 2022. Santos asserted that his disclosures were "true, complete, and correct." However, his finance disclosures carried multiple inaccuracies.
- He is said to have lied about where he went to high school. There was no evidence he attended school where he said he did, and he later pursued a high school equivalency diploma.
- He is accused of lying about where he went to college. Santos claims to have received a degree from Baruch College in 2010, even though the school has no record of him being there.
Remember, just because a congressman is Republican doesn't mean they are trustworthy. They ALL work in the government.
