Reporter wounded by bullet fragment when Democrat candidate shoots AR-15

A local television reporter appeared to be wounded by a bullet fragment during a campaign event in which Missouri Democrat Senate candidate Lucas Kunce was shooting an AR-15.

KSHB-TV’s Ryan Gamboa was hit by the apparent fragment at the event in a rural area north of Kansas City.

Photos posted on social media showed Kunce bandaging Gamboa's wound, which appears to be minor.

Kunce is the opponent of Sen. Josh Hawley (R), and has been playing up his military service in recent events and ads.

He wants the legal age for purchasing a firearm to be changed from 18 to 21.

FiveThirtyEight shows Hawley with a comfortable lead over Kunce as of October.
