Report reveals Biden's love of MSNBC's 'Morning Joe'

Though MSNBC is well known for its liberal leanings in a broad sense, one of the network's programs, in particular, has become a favorite of President Joe Biden, namely, Morning Joe with hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski, as Axios reports.

Not only does the president reportedly watch the show himself on a regular basis, but he also queries staffers as to whether or not they have seen individual segments on the program.

According to the outlet, Biden often contacts Scarborough personally to learn his views on hot-button issues of the day.

The president is also known to use Scarborough as a sounding board to complain about the treatment he receives from other media entities.

Biden's devotion to Morning Joe is reportedly so comprehensive that White House aides have taken to watching the show as a matter of course as a way to prepare for their boss's inevitable questions later in the day.

Axios further noted that Scarborough is not the only show participant with whom Biden likes to confer, as he also seeks regular insights from frequent panelists Richard Haass, Jon Meacham, and Mike Barnicle.

Bidens' MSNBC habit has been compared by some to former President Donald Trump's previously self-declared Fox News habit, which drew significant criticism during his time in the Oval Office.

During his tenure in the White House, critics of Trump suggested that he routinely watched several hours of television per day, spending his mornings jumping from CNN to Morning Joe to Fox & Friends, a show for which he had historically offered praise.

Trump was also said to enjoy Fox News primetime staples such as Hannity and the Ingraham Angle as well as offerings from former Judge Jeanine Pirro.

Those rumors were met with a firm denial from the man himself, with Trump having declared, “Believe it or not, even when I'm in Washington or New York, I do not watch much television. People that don't know me, they like to say I watch television – people with fake sources. You know, fake reporters, fake sources.”

“But I don't get to watch much television. Primarily because of documents. I'm reading documents. A lot,” he added. “I actually read much more – I read you people much more than I watch television.

According to a recent report in The Hill, Trump's love affair with Fox & Friends may well be a thing of the past, as he is said to have launched a biting tirade against the program and one of its hosts just a few months back.

Trump allegedly complained that the network allotted too much time to those who sought to challenge him for the GOP nomination and specifically singled out Steve Doocy of Fox & Friend for a poberceived change in attitude toward the former president.

However, given the unquestioning sycophancy offered to Biden by MSNBC on the daily, it seems unlikely that any similar falling out will ever occur on liberal side of the ideological/journalistic aisle.
