Lawmaker wants to use sergeant-at-arms provision to enforce contempt of Congress resolution

It's no surprise that Republicans in Congress want to LOCK UP Attorney General Merrick Garland.

After all, Garland has been perhaps THE most corrupt player at the top of America's government during Joe Biden's term in the White House.

While it's not surprising that Republican Rep.  Anna Paulina Luna from Florida REALLY wants to take action against Garland, the method she suggested IS a little surprising.

Luna wants to use the rule governing the House sergeant-at-arms, "a provision that hasn’t been used in more than a century, to enforce the contempt of Congress resolution against Attorney General Merrick Garland," according to TheHill.com.

"I anticipated that the Department of Justice would not do their job and so I had this teed up and ready to go," Luna recently said.

She's even brought the idea to the attention of Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, a Republican from Louisiana.

Luna is arguing that the little-used provision allows Congress to be "a check and balance on the Department of Justice."

Do you think that Luna's creative thinking will actually result in consequences for Garland?

Or will the attorney general weasel his way out of facing justice?
