Rep. Comer says House has faced unprecedented 'obstruction' by fed agencies, Biden lawyers

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) has been at the forefront of the ongoing, intensifying investigation into business activities of Hunter Biden and his father's alleged involvement.

According to Breitbart, Comer recently announced that his committee, and others, have faced unprecedented obstruction from a long list of federal agencies, much of which has been played out in the public's view.

Comer, who fought the FBI for months regarding an internal form that detailed an alleged Biden-involved foreign bribery scheme, told Fox News host Maria Bartiromo that he's truly shocked at how Biden's legal team and federal agencies are doing their best to obstruct his investigation.

"We know, talking to the banks, that they’re under considerable pressure not to cooperate with us," Comer said.

He added, "I have been saying for months, Maria, that we are facing obstruction like has never been demonstrated in the history of congressional investigations. Not only are we being obstructed by the Biden legal team. We’re being obstructed by the Department of Justice. We’re being obstructed by the FBI, by the Secret Service, by the IRS, by the Democrats on the House Oversight Committee."

He also expressed concerns that U.S. Attorney David Weiss, who was recently appointed as special counsel to oversee the Hunter Biden investigation, might also actively obstruct the House's ongoing investigations.

"And the next question is, will we be obstructed by the new special counsel, David Weiss, investigating this?” Comer asked rhetorically.

Many have expressed concerns that Weiss, who already had ample opportunity to charge Hunter Biden years ago, has what it takes to hold the president's son accountable.

"We have produced — with every subpoena we have issued, we have produced more new damaging evidence of Joe Biden’s involvement in his family’s influence-peddling schemes. And we believe the next bank records that we’re going to subpoena will tell a whole lot bigger story about how involved Joe Biden was in this Biden influence peddling scheme or Biden corruption."

President Biden has, nearly a dozen times on record, said that he had no prior knowledge of or involvement in his son's business dealings.

Social media reacted to Comer's claims that his committee and others has been steadily obstructed by a long list of federal agencies.

"Of course! The Dems control Legacy media, Congress, DOJ, FBI, the military and the courts, plus 2/3 of Republicans including McCarthy are Rinos ..." one X user wrote.

Only time will tell if Comer continues to face unprecedented levels of obstruction in his investigative pursuits.
