In the latest Rasmussen poll, former President Donald Trump had a seven-point lead over President Joe Biden as Trump has gained support since being unfairly indicted for a minor technical infraction while Biden has slumped further.
Trump had 48% in the poll, while Biden had 41%.
Trump also had a 59% favorable rating in the poll, including 58% of voters not in either major party.
On the other hand, Biden is seven points underwater, with a 46% favorable rating and 53% unfavorable.
Trump's main Republican rival, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) had a similar favorable rating to Trump's at 60%. 33% had an unfavorable view of DeSantis.
A YouGov/Economist poll found a closer matchup between Trump and Biden, with the two candidates tied at 46%.
