Raskin deflects when asked whether Kamala Harris is best Biden running mate

Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) wouldn't answer the question Thursday on whether Kamala Harris is the best running mate for President Joe Biden in 2024.

To Jake Tapper's initial question, Raskin said Harris was "excellent" and touted the administration's supposed accomplishments.

But Tapper pressed him to answer the actual question about whether she was the "best" running mate for Biden.

“I don’t know what else I could say," Raskin answered.

“You could say yes," Tapper countered.

Raskin finally said he hadn't seen any polling about whether Harris was regarded as the best running mate on the ticket, representing yet another awkward deflection.
