Republican Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky is calling on Americans to stand up and call out the injustice against former President Donald Trump.
Paul is asking citizens of the United States of America to take a stand, regardless of their personal preference or opinion.
The lawmaker described the injustices against Trump as "political prosecution."
"I’m saddened for our Constitutional Republic and the rule of law," Paul said the day after Trump arrived at the Manhattan courthouse for his arraignment.
"Overzealous, super liberal local prosecutor has filed drummed up charges against a former President, in a clear case of political prosecution," Paul added.
"All Americans should stand up to this injustice, regardless of their political views or opinions of the former President," Paul said.

McCarthy said this weaponization of the federal justice process "will be held accountable by Congress."
