Rand Paul announces criminal referral of Fauci to DOJ over gain of function research

Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) announced on Saturday that he sent a criminal referral of Dr. Anthony Fauci to the DOJ for lying to Congress about the NIH's involvement in gain of function research.

Paul said that Fauci's denial that the NIH funded gain of function research was "absolutely a lie" and that 2020 emails from Fauci published by Phillip Wegmann showed that such funding did in fact take place.

Lying to Congress is a serious crime, and the fact that he lied to cover up other wrongdoing makes it even worse.

Gain of function research was prohibited, but the NIH thought they were exempt from the law and did what they wanted anyway.

Maybe next time these researchers will release an even worse pandemic if gain of function research continues.

And we know the Chinese will continue it, with or without U.S. funding.
