Ramaswamy: GOP Donors Telling Candidates To Avoid Criticizing Indictment

 June 15, 2023

Republican donors have apparently been telling their candidates not to go anywhere near the Trump indictment on the campaign trail.

Republican Presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy disagrees, saying that it's more important to stand up for truth than for dollars.

Ramaswamy says that he's willing to do the right thing and forgo the donor dollars if that means doing what's right and committing to pardon Donald Trump on day 1 if Vivek wins in 2024.

"I challenge every US Presidential candidate to join me in standing for TRUTH," Ramaswamy said, adding:

Commit to pardon Donald Trump for these federal charges on Day 1, or explain why you won’t. No one should hide. Not Biden. Not DeSantis. Not Haley. Not Pence. Not RFK. Not Scott. Not anyone. Principles over politics.

That's easy for Ramaswamy to say, of course. He's self-made.

His reliance on donors isn't like that of the other candidates.

That doesn't mean he is wrong, though.
