Putin touts VIP bomb shelter inside hospital

Apparently, the drone blasts in Moscow within earshot of Russian President Vladimir Putin's compound this week have inspired the leader to build a bomb shelter for VIPs there, including himself.

The Moscow Times reported that the structure will be built at the Moscow Central Clinical Hospital, a protected facility, by December 20, 2023.

Putin said Thursday that "there is no doubt" of Russia's eventual win over Ukraine in the conflict that has been going on for over a year.

The bomb shelter plans show that they are worried about what could happen in the meanwhile, though.

Putin, on the other hand, has launched numerous attacks on Kyiv, Ukraine's capital and killed millions of civilians.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is beginning a counteroffensive that he hopes will drive Russia out of his country.
