President Biden only 'dependably engaged' for short window each day: Report

President Joe Biden's age-related health issues and problems are no secret, and any honest, reasonable person can watch him for a few minutes and understand where he stands, cognitively.

As the White House continues to try to spin the elderly president's condition in the wake of his disastrous, embarrassing debate with former President Donald Trump, some of the president's aides revealed the president's current behaviors.

According to the Daily Mail, some of Biden's aides have reportedly stated that he's either in a state of alertness or utter confusion, without much in between.

The bombshell report added that his aides said President Biden can be counted on to be "dependably engaged" for only a short window of time each day.

After the debate, when questions about President Biden's mental fitness became very mainstream, Biden's aides reportedly told Axios that the president is either on his game (for a short time) or tired and confused.

Americans -- and the entire world -- seem to have witnessed more of the latter in recent years, as it's difficult to remember the last time Biden appeared genuinely sharp.

Taking that information, which is alarming to say the least, many have wondered how it's not a national security emergency at this point.

The Daily Mail noted:

His performance sparked panic among the Democrats with former key Barack Obama adviser David Axelrod saying there was a 'sense of shock' in the party and there would be 'discussions about whether he (Biden) should continue'.

But some aides told Axios that they were not surprised by his performance and expressed fresh concerns about whether the president is fit for another term.

White House aides are very familiar with the two very different versions of the president, and typically schedule events based on his window of when he's most engaged.

Democrats and liberal media scrambled in the wake of the debate, as if for the first time they'd realized that Biden's health is an actual serious issue and not just something that his critics on the right say all the time.

There have been widespread calls for Biden to drop out of the 2024 race.

So far, the White House has vowed that he will stay in the race, though many believe that could rapidly change.

Only time will tell.
