President Biden criticized for strolling along Delaware beach while Middle East burns

October 24, 2023

Sometimes, it's still difficult to believe that President Joe Biden is actually the president.

That was evidenced once again in recent days, as the elderly president was spotted taking a leisurely stroll along the Atlantic beachfront at his Rehoboth Beach, Delaware home as the world -- and especially the Middle East -- continues to burn.

According to Breitbart, the president walked along with first lady Jill Biden as reporters screamed questions about the U.S. hostages still in Hamas control in Israel.

As the president was rightfully asked about the U.S. hostage situation, he gave the reporter a quick wave and said absolutely nothing.

"Americans are still being held hostage by Hamas terrorists—and Joe Biden is at the beach," RNC Research wrote on X, adding a link to a short video clip of the president and his wife.

Biden's peaceful walk comes with a backdrop of U.S. troops being told to be ready to deploy by Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin as threats against U.S. interests and assets in the Middle East grows out of control.

The president was heavily criticized across social media for his response to the situation in general, and for the optics of the stroll on the beach.

"He doesn’t give a crap!!! He has repeatedly shown his disdain for Americans. We’re nothing to him bc he can’t enrich himself with Americans," one X user wrote.

Another X user wrote, "I feel like we are in some bizarre Twilight Zone episode."

Since the Oct. 7 Hamas terrorist attacks on Israel, the Biden administration has vowed to help the nation with whatever it needs but has also warned the country to follow the "rules of war" in its retaliation.

Though many believe the U.S. government is pressuring Israel to delay an invasion, hundreds of thousands of Israeli soldiers are still camped out at the border, awaiting orders.

Only time will tell how Biden ultimately responds to the situation. Many believe it could drastically alter his 2024 election campaign, for better or worse.
