It's not Nikki Haley who leads the race for the GOP nomination in South Carolina, despite the fact that she used to be governor of that very state.
A recent poll shockingly revealed that Donald Trump is leading Nikki Haley in the Palmetto State, which is the second GOP primary state in the nation.
Donald Trump has the support of over 35% of Republican voters in South Carolina. Perhaps even more surprising than the fact that Donald Trump is beating Haley is the fact that Ron DeSantis is ALSO ahead of Haley. DeSantis, the Republican Governor of Florida, collected almost 22% support.
Haley, who just officially announced her candidacy on Valentine's Day, came in third.
She collected around 16%.
