 July 23, 2023

Randolph Bonnist was supposed to be the pilot of the small plane, but at the moment of impact on Martha's Vineyard, a passenger was at the controls.

That's because Randolph Bonnist was suffering a medical emergency.

Unfortunately, it has been confirmed that Randolph Bonnist has passed away after being transported to Boston Medical Center.

Authorities confirmed that Bonnist suffered a medical emergency and that a passenger was forced to assume control of the plane.

At the time of writing, it has not been confirmed what type of medical emergency Randolph experienced. He did not die at the site of the crash.

That passenger has been identified as Randolph's wife, Robin Bonnist.

Robin appears to have escaped the crash with minimal injuries. She was initially transported to the hospital but was released soon after being evaluated.
