Pete Hegseth's ex-wife stands in support of Cabinet bid despite assault claims

If Pete Hegseth is so evil and abusive, then why is his ex-wife, who would have been the biggest victim of his actions, still standing by him?

There's the possibility that Pete Hegseth isn't actually as bad as the liberal media is making him out to be, and claims of his behavior have been seriously exaggerated.

It's also possible that Pete's second wife, Samantha, is dependent on Pete's financial assistance, so she doesn't want to rock the boat or ruin his career.

According to the Daily Mail, divorce documents in Minnesota show that the mother-of-three would lose almost $80,000 a year without the support of 44-year-old Hegseth.

Pete Hegseth reportedly pays Samantha $4,000 per month in child support, which comes out to $48,000 per year. In addition, Pete is also footing the bill for each of their three sons' private school educations at Liberty Classical Academy in Minnesota.

2018 documents indicated that the total bill for the three children's tuition comes out to about $30,000 per year.

Samantha came out in support of Pete after Danielle Hegseth, the ex-wife of Pete's brother, claimed in a sworn affidavit that Samantha "feared for her safety and that Pete had exhibited 'erratic and aggressive behavior over many years.'"
