Pentagon leaker to face military court martial

In March 2024, Massachusetts Air National Guardsman Jack Teixeira pleaded guilty in civilian court to willfully retaining and leaking classified intelligence.

Now, he's facing charges in military court, according to the Air Force.

Texeira was arrested last April after allegedly sharing classified intelligence on Discord, a social media messaging app.

He's being charged with disobeying a direct order and obstructing justice.

The charges allege that Texeira intentionally disregarded an order telling him to "cease and desist" from accessing information that did not pertain to his duties.

It looks like Texeira not only disregarded those orders, but he also then leaked his findings.

CNN reported that "three internal Air Force memos revealed multiple instances in which his leadership observed and warned that he was inappropriately accessing classified information."

Teceira was arrested in April of 2023 and charged under the espionage act.
